What a Remarkable Woman Sarah Was!

She bore a child when she was ninety years of age: forty-five years past the age of having children. By faith her entire body was rejuvenated to that of a young woman, so much so that a heathen king desired to have her!

Abimelech would never have sought a ninety year old, bespectacled, wheel-chair ridden, hearing aid equipped, hair-dyed, false teethed, false eye-lashed, stoop shouldered, wrinkled, old age spotted, wigged woman.

Something had happened in her body.

God has made the same provision for every Christian believer.

Romans 8:11But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

The Holy Spirit will make alive, restore, rejuvenate every human body for those who believe.

Sarah's body was rejuvenated by sixty-five years.

Genesis 20:2 And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister: and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.

What a picture of the Christian church. A two thousand year old woman whose relevance by the world has been seriously questioned. The Holy Spirit is moving in the church and will con-tinue to do so until the church is completely rejuvenated and again makes it mark on the desires and authorities of the world.

She will be completely restored, she will receive strength to conceive seed, she will be delivered of a child!

Ephesians 4: 11-13
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some pastors and teachers;
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
The Amplified Version declares, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ's own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ, and the completeness found in him.

The church is being restored to her former vigour, her former life, her former glory.

She will be elevated to a state of co-equality with Christ!
